At ShadowNurse, our mission is to place a nurse by your side; virtually. We empower our nurses with modern tools and purposeful technology to guide patients and caregivers through the complex healthcare system. By embedding clinical expertise into the daily rhythms of life, we ease the emotional, mental, and logistical burdens of caregiving; so families can spend less time coordinating care and more time being together.

We envision a world where every household has a trusted remote nurse; proactively navigating care, advocating for loved ones, and transforming the way families experience healthcare. One nurse, one family, one home at a time.

Taking Care of the Caregiver

Care, First.
Compassion is our operating system. Every decision starts and ends with nurse-led empathy, clinical excellence, and human connection.

Designed for Caregivers & Patients.
We serve the ones holding it all together; especially overwhelmed caregivers (e.g., moms) managing care for both children and aging parents. Supporting them means supporting everyone, including them and their loved ones.

Radical Accessibility.
Healthcare navigation should be simple, affordable, and always within reach. We break barriers so families don’t have to.

Technology with Purpose.
Our digital tools leverage technology without replacing compassion or human care. We build systems that free nurses to do more of what only humans can do: care deeply and act decisively.

Built for What’s Next.
As caregiving needs rise and family dynamics evolve, we’re building durable infrastructure for the future of health at home.

Interstitial by Design.
Bridging the gap in the current healthcare system; ShadowNurse breaks the barriers that form after you leave the doctor’s office. We take care of the in-between such as medication reminders, appointment scheduling and reminders and helping to understand health related terms that might leave you wondering what just happened at your doctor’s visit.

Meet the founders of ShadowNurse

  • Founder & CEO

Olivia Svrchek saw early in her nursing career that patients often left the hospital with unanswered questions and no real support once they got home. She frequently became the “pocket nurse” for her own family and patients, offering reassurance, clarity, and human connection outside formal care settings. That experience sparked the idea for ShadowNurse: a way to scale the kind of trusted, in-between support nurses naturally provide. For Olivia, success is measured by one core outcome; whether people feel less alone on their healthcare journey.

  • Olivia Svrchek, FNP, MS is a seasoned nurse-practitioner, executive, and health-tech entrepreneur with deep experience across clinical care, research, and digital health. She has held leadership roles at prestigious institutions, including clinical and research nursing at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and management at 23andMe, and served as Clinic Director and Assistant Nurse Manager in hospital and concierge care settings. As a Chief Nursing Executive, she now blends her clinical insight with entrepreneurial vision to reimagine nursing and deliver human-centered care at scale. Passionate about the future of nursing, she also shares her experience publicly, mentoring others, writing about remote and digital-health nursing, and advocating for innovation in care delivery.

When For Jeff, ShadowNurse is about bringing care back to the places where it matters most: the moments between appointments when people feel most vulnerable.
